Who this is for
The coaching is for immigrants with a university degree who want to enter the German job market. Maybe you have already sent applications and heard little back, or you don't yet know where to start. Either is a good reason for this coaching. You work one to one with a coach, online or in person, at your own pace.
What you work on
First it is about you, then the market, then your application:
- Where you stand: potential analysis plus your mindset, your motivation and your personality
- Job market: what the market for your field looks like in Germany
- Strategy: your profile and your plan for the job search
- Documents: application documents that fit the German job market
- Visibility: online career marketing
- Strength: self-management and dealing with stress during the job search
- Optional: a potential test
Afterwards you can
- present your degree and your experience clearly to German employers
- choose jobs that fit your profile
- apply with complete documents
- make yourself professionally visible online
- approach your job search with a clear plan
Key facts
- Format: one-to-one coaching, sessions of 45 minutes
- Location: anywhere via live video, or in person where available
- Scope: depends on your voucher; we set it in the first call

How to get funding
The coaching is paid for with the activation and placement voucher, AVGS for short (Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein). You get it from the Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter; if you receive basic income support (Grundsicherungsgeld), the Jobcenter is usually responsible. If the voucher is approved, the agency covers the costs. The decision is theirs; there is no commitment in advance.
How we support you
- Funding check: Three short questions, on WhatsApp if you like, then we know whether an AVGS voucher is realistic.
- First call: We talk about your studies, your experience and the job you are looking for.
- Preparing your appointment: You get the information on the coaching and tips for making your case at the Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter.
- Start: The coaching is run by our AZAV-certified education partner; you agree the dates with your coach.
Your contacts are Bernd Best and team in Berlin, reachable by WhatsApp, phone or email. Our support costs you nothing: we are paid by the education partner, not by you.
Frequently asked questions
I have already sent lots of applications. Will the coaching still help me?
Yes, especially then. In the coaching you and your coach look at your previous documents and at the job market for your field. From that comes a strategy that fits your profile better.
Can the coaching be done online?
Yes, it runs anywhere via live video. Where available, you can also take part in person. We work out what suits you better in the first call.
